My style is really sophisticated...

Sooooo just got back from the mall. I was wearing the same shirt as a 7 year old! LOL! Awkward moment :) she tells her mom, "MOMMY! That girl has the same shirt as me!!!" This is what happens when the plaid at the Target kids section looks cuter than the plaid in the women's section :p

SiJCP Deals:
MD skincare line is 60-80% off! They are no longer going to be carrying it!

Ole Henrikson African Red Tea foaming cleanser 1.5 fl oz is the sweet steal at $9.50 (from $15)!

Also in case anyone was interested according to the Petsmart ad I just received, you can get a "Regular Ball Python" for $59.99! I am going to pass.

If you have not already, you should sign up for Procter & Gamble's sampler packs. I often get those travel sized shampoos and conditioners, coupons and other things. The current pack isn't that great but sign up anyway, it is free! Procter & Gamble Samplers

My Skincare Routine

I've tried a lot of products, slowly but surely I'll put reviews up. This entry is going to be about my current skincare routine!!

1. Face wash: Korres White Tea Cleanser-smells nice and really cleans!

2. Face Srub: Korres Pomegranate Scrub-I love this scrub! Without it my face suffers! It is a bit on the abrasive side but it does not irritate or hurt me. I actually like it because I feel like it's really scrubbing off dead cells! My skin is ever so soft afterwards!! It also smells delicious!

3. Moisturizer: Korres Pomegranate Gel-Not my favorite by them. I prefer the Wild Rose but that is too moisturizing for me in the summer. It's perfect for winter though! I also sometimes use RareMinerals by Bare Minerals.

4. Toner: Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2-I try not to use this too often because it strips too much of your natural oils and then makes you overproduce oil. But sometimes I feel like it's fine to use. I've actually noticed an improvement in my skin now that I only use it sometimes (I tried not using it at all and using it everyday).

Back to School!!

Beauty Tips for Back to School!!

Having graduated college I realize I learned a lot of tricks for those days when you're running late, lazy, too tired to do anything, etc. (Read: Hungover. All night study binge. Just frickin late.)

Here are the things I recommend:

- Baby Wipes
Great for camping because they act as a quick way to help wash the body, it can also do the same thing for your really late start mornings! It also multipurposes as a makeup remover wipe! You neeeeed makeup remover wipes because there are going to be nights/mornings where you just don't feel like washing your face. The last great purpose of baby wipes is as a quick brush cleaner. If it takes it off your face, why not off your brushes too?? I get the unscented ones from Target and they typically have aloe and vitamin E in it.

- Matte Nailpolishes from Sephora by OPI or fast drying polishes
I like these because when I have only 5 minutes to spare I can still get my nails done and they dry quickly! It is also really obvious when they are dry because the color change is so apparent! It chips a lot easier too but that's okay if it dries so danged fast!!

- Accessories (longer necklaces, bracelets, earrings, scarves)
Great over plain tees or sweaters. It just really dresses up an outfit and requires no thinking whatsoever. Yet you will look pulled together!

- Brush ups
Did you ever have garlic bread or something onion-y for lunch and then felt bad for those you had to speak to later? The packages are so slim it's easy to stick them in your purse, in your notebook folders, car, etc.

- Floss
I'm probably 1 of 5 people who love flossing but I like to keep one in my purse.

- Eye drops
Hello, you stay up all frickin night.

- Tinted Moisturizer
Writing this is making me feel lazy as I can already see how much I enjoy skipping steps. TMs are great for just that! I really love Laura Mercier's TM and Smashbox.

- A pretty all over eyeshadow color
Most mornings I didn't want to think. I had a 6am lab and just was not functional enough to pick out shadow colors! Benefit's creaseless cream shadow in RSVP, Stila's Kitten, MAC's All That Glitters--just pick one! lol.

- Hair accessories
Bobby pins, clips, hair elastics, headbands. quick fix for the hair? yes please.

- Dry shampoo
some people can get away with using baby powder. I am not one of those people. Sephora has a lot of different dry shampoos to try and see which works for you.

- Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship
Protects from split ends, makes my hair soft ANDDDDD smells nice? Perfect.

- Chapstick
Find. A. Good. One. I don't like petroleum based products because they mask the problem rather than treating it and moisturizing your lips. I loooove Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine (soon coming in a stick form). Find a good one and get a few because if you are anything like me you will lose them!

- Body Sprays
Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works fragrances are cheap and light enough in smell that it won't  make you sick in the morning. Am I the only one who gets sick in the morning from strong smells like perfume? Anyways, the scents are lighter and they make small sizes. I refill the small with the big bottles. VS and BBW are always having price breaks if you buy 5, 6, 27 (okay not really) items. Take advantage of that and get some fun scents!

- Mini face moisturizer
Keep it in your book bag. I don't even have dry skin but sometimes I'd find my skin looking dry in some patches randomly and when you do, you will thank me!

-Waterless soap
Sometimes you touch something and you kind of cringe inside. Or the bathroom is out of soap. Or it is cold season. I understand that colds are viral and soap is antibacterial but everything helps. If you ride public transportation, touch door handles, use public computers or sit in a desk, maybe disinfect from time to time.

- Pictures
You'd be surprised how nice it is to look at family and friends. It makes you smile, that's the greatest beauty tip of all!!

Tips:
Do go to class without makeup at some point (or at least, get them used to a more fresh faced you and skip the shadow and liner). The benefit is that they aren't shocked when you come to class that inevitable day without any makeup on. Also, I'm quite certain there is nothing wrong with your pretty face! Most often I went to school without any makeup on whatsoever because I just didn't care. But of all the items I wore the most during my college years, eyeliner and chapstick win. eyeliner makes me look awake, chapstick...well you know what that does!
